Police give description of body found at Massapequa Preserve

MASSAPEQUA, Long Island (WABC) — Police on Long Island have ruled the death of an unidentified man found in the Massapequa Preserve a homicide. The body was found Thursday afternoon. On Saturday, the Nassau County Police Department described the man as Hispanic, in his late teens to early twenties, and wearing an American Eagle brand, three-button, dark colored shirt. A shirt similar to the one on the body: They released a sketch and a photo of a shirt like the one found on the man. The investigation is ongoing. Farmingville Man Found Shot to Death in Home

WANAQUE, New Jersey (WABC) — An exotic and illegal wild cat is now in the custody of animal control in New Jersey. Residents spotted the large animal in Paterson Thursday and called authorities. The cat was tranquilized because of how it was acting. Animal control officers say, it gave people living in the neighborhood quite a scare. The animal is now resting at a shelter in Wanaque.
