The science of funding: Jan. 18 and 19 at LIHTI.

Life science funding fundamentals: Stony Brook University’s Center for Biotechnology, with support from NYSTAR, will host a two-day workshop for qualified small businesses in the health-tech and life-sciences fields interested in the $2.6 billion in R&D funding awarded annually by the federal Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer programs. The workshop, which focuses on the essentials and best strategies of applying for National Institutes of Health funding, is scheduled to run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Jan. 18 and from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 19 at the Long Island High Technology Incubator on the SBU campus.
